Only 7 kilometers - a short trip by train from Skagen Strand - you can experience Denmark's northernmost Christmas market with real Christmas atmosphere, beautiful light decoration, Christmas's delights and the opportunity to buy exciting and local Christmas presents. You can visit The Christmas Market every Friday to Sunday from late November to mid-December.
Christmas Shopping
You can do Your Christmas shopping in Skagen, where you easily can find presents for the whole family. Maybe something from the local artists?
If You really want to go shopping, we can recommend a trip to Frederikshavn. By train it takes only 25 minutes and in Frederikshavn you can enjoy the Christmas-decorated pedestrian street with many shops and cozy cafes.
If you want to shop indoors, we recommend a trip to Metropol Shopping Center in Hjørring. Take the opportunity to go by Børglum Kloster, where you also will find a Christmas market from mid-November.
Christmas at Skagen Strand
Imagine waking up in Your Holiday Home, starting the day with a walk along the roaring sea followed by an hour or two in the indoor pool area and sauna. After this you are ready for the last preparations. At 21.00 pm. on Christmas Eve you can walk up to Hulsig square where you can dance around the Christmas tree together with the locals singing a few Christmas songs. It's a great experience and the locals love to welcome new faces.
