Environment at Skagen Strand.
Skagen Strand is environmentally certified and has been awarded the eco label “Flower”. That makes us one of the five hotels in Denmark that take an active stand on environmental awareness.
The eco label “Flower” is the European counterpart to the Nordic eco label “Swan” and the “Flower” is therefore an international recognition of Skagen Strand’s environmental standard. A hotel and holiday centre that has been awarded the eco label “Flower” works with:
- Energy and water saving measures
- Waste-limiting measures
- Environmental improvements in general
Therefore, we ask our guests to kindly contribute
- Keep doors and windows shut when the heating is turned on
- Switch off the light when you leave the holiday home
- Limit your water consumption
- Contact the reception if you detect leakages
- Sort the waste and put it into the proper waste containers
- Hazardous waste like batteries, etc. belongs in the yellow container.
- Make sure that doors and windows are closed when you leave the holiday home
