Frederikshavn Blues Festival - Blues Heaven

The first weekend in November you can experience Frederikshavn Blues Festival - Blues Heaven. It is one of the most respected blues and soul festivals in Europe. It attracts audience from both home and abroad and the festival has received several awards, including:

- International Festival of the Year 2018 - Zicazic, France

- Named the 2nd Best Festival in the world 2018 by the readers of the Polish magazine Twój Blues.

The festival, which started in 2006, has had many big names over the years – f.ex. Jeremy Spencer (2006), Sherman Robertson (2006 and 2009), Johnny Winter (2007), Walter Trout (2007), Gary Moore (2008), Dr. John (2008), Peter Green (2009), Louisiana Red (2010), Ronnie Baker Brooks (2010) and Imelda May (2010), Buddy Guy (2018) Curtis Slagado (2019), Nick Moss Band (2019) and Tad Robinson feat Alex Schultz (2019)

It all takes place in Arena Nord (the area's large cultural center with over 15,000 m2 spread over 5 halls) with afterparties in various places in the city.

It will be a weekend with fantastic musical experiences.

Accommodation

Book accommodation in a fully equipped holiday home at Skagen Strand. Here you can stay up to 5 or 7 people in the house.

The train stops right outside our front door and it only takes 25 minutes from here to Frederikshavn.

After wonderful music experiences and a good night's sleep in quiet surroundings, you can start the day with delicious freshly baked morning bread or a ready-made breakfast menu, which is ready for you at the reception from 8.00 am. The order form will be received upon arrival and it must be handed in no later than 06.00 am. the same day.

We have plenty of free facilities for both activity and relaxation, such as a nice pool area with sauna, tabletennis and badminton, if You can find time for this. Or maybe a hike in our beautiful nature. Here at Skagen Strand you will find beautiful hiking trails right outside the door.

You should also take the opportunity to visit charming Skagen, the northernmost city in Denmark. The area also offers spectacular sights such as Grenen, Den Tilsandede Church and Råbjerg Mile
